Vulcan Shield Global Partners with Nanyang Technological University to Advance High-Performance Materials

Vulcan Shield Global is pleased to highlight its collaboration with Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, through the School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE). Launched in 2024 as a multi-year partnership, this collaboration with NTU MSE researchers, including Professor Dr Chen Zhong and PhD candidate Deng Yuheng and engineers from Vulcan Shield Global brings together VSG’s independently developed high-performance alumina fiber product series with NTU’s research expertise and advanced facilities in Singapore.

The partnership is focused on advancing research into alumina continuous fiber metal matrix composites, including the study of interface reaction mechanisms, interface design and preparation methods, and the evaluation of material properties that are important to future high-performance applications.

This ongoing partnership reflects a shared commitment to applied research, innovation, and long-term materials development, while also highlighting VSG’s connection to Singapore’s research ecosystem and the value of industry–university collaboration in advancing next-generation materials.
