M-99 Alumina Fiber
The M-99 alumina fiber produced by Vulcan Shield Global is a high modulus, high tensile strength continuous fiber ideal for next-generation consumer electronics and ceramic matrix composite materials. It possesses high temperature resistance, high strength, oxidation resistance, anti-static properties, and wave-permeability.
The long-term service temperature of M-99 alumina fiber can reach around 1000-1100℃, with a single fiber diameter of approximately 12-14μm. It is suitable for applications in metal, polymer and ceramic matrix composites. The 99% Al2O3 content effectively controls the material interface effect, exhibits good compatibility with active metals, and can be used to produce lightweight and high-strength composite products.
Important Processing Information – Sizing
The surface of M-99 alumina fiber is coated with sizing. Available with epoxy and PU sizing, and other sizing on request. Please note that during initial heating, the sizing may burn out and emit by-products or processing contaminants.
