F-72 Alumina Fiber
The F-72 alumina fiber produced by Vulcan Shield Global possesses high temperature resistance, high strength, oxidation resistance, and antistatic properties, making it a core material for the production of next-generation refractory products.
The F-72 alumina fiber has a long-term service temperature of 1200°C, with a single fiber diameter of approximately 7-10μm. It is suitable for applications in metal matrix composites. The fiber, with a 72% Al2O3 content, has a soft texture, conducive to the manufacture of textile products. After weaving and braiding, it can be made into various shapes of thermal insulation seals and can also be used for composite reinforcement.
Important Processing Information – Sizing
The surface of F-72 alumina fiber is coated with sizing. Available with epoxy and PU sizing, and other sizing on request. Please note that during initial heating, the sizing may burn out and emit by-products or processing contaminants.
