Alumina Fiber Woven Fabric
High-Temperature Resistant and Customisable Alumina Fiber Woven Fabric
The alumina fiber woven fabric by Vulcan Shield Global is designed for a range of thermal, mechanical, and electrical insulating applications. The performance of these fabrics can surpass many usage limitations of other high-temperature textiles such as aramid, carbon, quartz, or glass.
Vulcan Shield Global’s alumina fiber woven fabric is processed from high-strength continuous alumina fibers. Since the filaments are continuous and strong, their textiles can be produced without the need for other fibers or metal wire insertion. With a continuous operating temperature of about 1200°C, it has good resistance to molten metal immersion. Suitable for insulation, heat preservation, sealing, electrical insulation, sound absorption, and filtration in high-temperature environments.
Vulcan Shield Global’s alumina fiber woven fabric can adopt different yarn specifications and weaving processes to meet customer requirements for different operating temperatures and conditions.
Important Processing Information – Sizing
The surface of the alumina fiber woven fabric is coated with sizing. Available with epoxy and PU sizing, and other sizing on request. Please note that during initial heating, the sizing may burn out and emit by-products or processing contaminants.
