Position: Project Execution Manager

Report to: Project Operations Manager, Hungary

 

General Description

The Project Execution Manager will be responsible for the effective execution of the manufacturing site investment project in Hungary. This includes driving project schedules, coordinating with government authorities and EPC contractors, handling design changes (MOC), and maintaining project documentation. The role requires close collaboration with the Project Operations Manager and other stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with corporate standards.

Ideal Candidate Profile
To facilitate seamless communication with the headquarters and the early-phase team in Hungary, the ideal candidate will be a Chinese expatriate with Hungarian citizenship or permanent residency. Full professional proficiency in Chinese is mandatory, in addition to strong communication skills in either English or Hungarian
expected.

 

Role’s duties and responsibilities:

  1. Support the Project Operations Manager in risk management, reporting, and stakeholder communication. Facilitate regular project review meetings and provide progress updates.
  2. Develop, monitor, and maintain detailed project execution plans and schedules.
  3. Liaison with central and local government authorities for permits, approvals, and compliance matters.
  4. Serve as the primary point of contact for EPC service vendors, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
  5. Support the the Management of Change (MOC) process for design and engineering modifications.
  6. Monitor the creation, control, and archiving of all project-related documents.
  7. Other project related assignments from the immediate manager.

Qualifications Required:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field) is preferred.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in project support or coordination, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or industrial projects.
  3. Familiarity with Management of Change (MOC) processes and project documentation systems is preferred.
  4. Hungarian citizenship or permanent residency is highly preferred.
  5. Language Proficiency: Full professional proficiency in Chinese is mandatory. Additionally, professional proficiency in either English or Hungarian is required.
  6. Multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  7. Results-driven, with a focus on timely and quality delivery.
  8. Willingness to be based in Békéscsaba is an obvious plus.

      Project Operations Manager, Hungary

      Job Description

      Position Summary

      The position holder will be leading the business footprint expansion in Hungary, focusing on the investment project of a manufacturing site in collaboration with the central and the local authorities, the EPC service vendor and etc. Besides, he will also be taking the initiatives of business development and building the Hungarian team. He reports back to his superiors periodically on progress made.

      The Project Operations Manager will have strong and continuous contacts with the Hungarian management department in order to transfer the corporate business growth strategy to the design and execution plan.

      General Responsibilities

      • Establish and keep the connection with the central and local authorities and the partners.
      • Set up the business organization in Hungary.
      • Full responsibility for the results and the objectives set by global leadership.
      • Propose and manage project agenda to align with the business development plan and priorities.
      • Develop the manpower planning headcount and team shaping plan in collaboration with the HR partner.
      • Create new business opportunities and explore new potential strategies and models Work with Sales & Marketing Team to identify new opportunities to support business growth.

        Qualifications Required

        • Bachelor or above degree is preferred.
        • Above 10 years experience in high performance fiber or refractory business with good industrial or product knowledge. Comprehensive career experience of commercial, Greenfield project or manufacturing operations is an obvious plus.
        • Solid background in electrical, mechanical or textile engineering 
        • Good Financial acumen, able to balance operations costs in line with sales and other objectives.
        • Proven capabilities to manage teams and handle relationships with different stakeholders, to influence decisions and to work in a complex matrix organization.

        • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
        • Living in or available to relocate to Hungary.
        • Proficiency in Hungarian and English is required, with Mandarin proficiency being a plus.

            Position Summary:

            We are looking for a dynamic and energetic individual to join Vulcan Shield Global as a Technical Engineer Manager for Alumina Continuous Fibre Products. The Technical Engineer Manager is responsible for providing technical expertise and support to customers, conducting product testing and evaluation, and ensuring the successful implementation and use of alumina continuous fibre products. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, addressing customer inquiries and concerns, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

            General Responsibilities

            Customer Technical Support

            • Provide technical support to customers, addressing inquiries, resolving technical issues, and offering guidance on the optimal use and application of alumina continuous fibre products.
            • Collaborate closely with customers to understand their specific requirements, challenges, and expectations, and provide customized solutions.
            • Supporting customers during use of product including troubleshooting on site issues.
            • Develop and implement technical service strategies, objectives, and action plans to support the successful implementation and use of alumina continuous fibre products.

            Customer Relationship Management

            • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their technical needs and providing timely and effective solutions.
            • Conduct regular technical meetings with customers, addressing technical concerns, providing updates on product developments, and identifying opportunities for improvement or expansion.
            • Collaborate with the sales team to identify potential technical service contract opportunities and support contract negotiations.
            • Requests and oversight of Generation of data relating to customer projects to help drive innovation and growth.

            Product Testing and Evaluation

            • Liaise with Lab to provide required testing for customers on time.
            • Develop and oversee product testing and evaluation protocols to ensure product quality, performance, and compliance with industry standards.
            • Assist in selection of key technical/lab equipment, drive company standards through implementing global best practices.
            • Collaborate with the R&D team to assess and validate product improvements, new formulations, and application developments.
            • Analyse and interpret test results, providing recommendations for product enhancements and resolving technical issues. .

            Cross-Functional Collaboration

            • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, sales, and marketing, to ensure effective communication and coordination.
            • Provide technical input and support during the product development and commercialization processes.
            • Collaborate with the sales team to address technical inquiries, support customer visits, and provide technical expertise for sales presentations.
            • Feel comfortable with Proactive customer technical engagement as technical market strength and industry leader.
            • Experience of cross-cultural communication and working in a global team based accross different time zones..

              Continous Improvement

              • Monitor industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive landscape related to alumina continuous fibre products and provide recommendations for improvement.
              • Identify opportunities for process optimization, product enhancements, and cost reduction.
              • Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the technical service department, ensuring efficient processes and enhanced customer experience.

              Education

              Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Material or Application Engineer or a related field.

              Experience

              Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in product specialist role.
              Proven experience in technical service roles, preferably within the commissioning or materials industry, with a focus on continuous fibres.
              Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions.
              Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
              Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional technical support.
              Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
