Vulcan Shield Global at JEC World 2026: Advancing High-Temperature Alumina Fiber Solutions

Vulcan Shield Global will be exhibiting at JEC World 2026, the world’s leading international composites exhibition. The annual event will take place in Paris, bringing together companies and professionals across advanced materials, composites manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, energy, and industrial sectors.

You’ll be able to find us atHall 5Booth F114, where we’ll be sharing our latest developments in alumina fiber technology.

JEC World: The Global Hub for Composites and Advanced Materials

JEC World has long been one of the most important meeting points for the global composites community. Every year, engineers, OEMs, researchers, suppliers, and decision-makers gather to exchange ideas, discover new materials, and explore practical solutions to real manufacturing challenges.

For Vulcan Shield Global, attending JEC World is about more than showcasing products. It’s an opportunity to learn from industry conversations, understand emerging needs, and discuss how alumina fiber materials can support high-temperature and extreme-environment applications.

Strengthening Supply in Europe

As part of our long-term commitment to the global composites ecosystem, Vulcan Shield Global is developing ahigh-tech alumina fiber manufacturing facility in Békéscsaba, Hungary. This investment will strengthen production capacity within the European Union, helping to ensure a more secure and resilient supply chain for alumina fiber materials.

The facility will begin with textile and yarn production, with discontinuous fiber capabilities planned for 2027. Beyond manufacturing, the project will support regional innovation through collaboration with local universities and research institutions.

By expanding our manufacturing footprint into Europe, we aim to bring production closer to customers while supporting industries that rely on stable, long-term access to high-performance materials.

What We’ll Be Showcasing at JEC 2026

AtBooth 5F114, we will present our portfolio ofcontinuousanddiscontinuous alumina fiber products, designed for industries where conventional materials begin to reach their limits.

Continuous Alumina Fiber Products

Our continuous fiber solutions are used for reinforcement, textile integration, and applications requiring high-temperature durability. These include:
  • Fiber yarns and sewing threads
  • Braided ropes and braided sleeves
  • Woven tapes and woven fabrics

These materials combine high tensile strength, strong modulus, thermal stability, and low weight, making them suitable for demanding composite and insulation systems.

Discontinuous Alumina Fiber Product

We will also be showcasing our discontinuous alumina fiber solutions, including:

  • Bulk alumina fiber
  • Needled alumina fiber blankets
  • Alumina fiber paper

These materials are commonly used forhigh-temperature insulation, thermal barriers, fire protection, and electrical insulation, particularly where flexibility and efficient heat containment are required.

Supporting High-Performance Industries

As industries push towardgreater energy efficiency, electrification, and lower emissions, the need for materials that can withstand higher operating temperatures continues to grow. Alumina fiber is increasingly relevant across multiple sectors, including:

  • Aerospace:Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMCs), thermal protection systems, and insulation in high-temperature zones
  • Automotive & Electric Vehicles:Battery insulation, fire-resistant barriers, exhaust shielding, and lightweight reinforcement
  • Communications & Electronics:Components requiring radio-wave permeability together with high modulus and thermal stability
  • Energy & Industrial Manufacturing:Furnace linings, kilns, reactors, and process insulation
  • Advanced Composites:Reinforcement forCMC, MMC, and PMC systemsoperating under extreme conditions

Why Alumina Fiber Matters

Alumina fiber materials offer a combination of properties that are increasingly difficult to achieve with traditional materials alone:

  • High-temperature resistance
  • Lightweight performance
  • Corrosion resistance
  • Electrical insulation capability
  • Stability under repeated thermal cycling

These characteristics make alumina fiber a valuable material for next-generation composite structures and thermal management systems.
